Google Translate Poetry

BetaFiles Logo

Welcome to Google Translate Poetry where we take classic poems, lyrics, and prose, run them through Google Translate several times, and post the results.

This is how it works: we start with the original English, translate it into a foreign language, translate that into another foreign language, and so on, until we have run through about 5 or 6 languages. Then we go backwards through the languages in reverse order back to English and presto: a new poem. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Jefferson’s Theme

Well we’re movin on up, to the east side.

To a deluxe apartment in the sky.

Movin on up to the east side.

We finally got a piece of the pie.

Fish don’t fry in the kitchen;

Beans don’t burn on the grill.

Took a whole lotta tryin’ just to get up that hill.

Now we’re up in the big leagues

Gettin’ our turn at bat.

As long as we live, it’s you and me baby

There ain’t nothin wrong with that.

Well we’re movin on up, to the East Side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up to the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Yes, we moved east.

luxury apartment in the sky.

Continuing east.

Finally, we have a piece of cake.

Cereals are the fish in the kitchen;

Beans do not burn on the grill.

If necessary, too, but try to get up the hill.

Now are our big leagues

Gettin ‘Tora is our home.

As long as we live, girl

There is nothing wrong.

Yes, we moved east.

luxury apartment in the sky.

Continuing east.

Finally, we have a piece of cake.

Trump’s Inaugural

Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s Capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes – starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day. This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

English – Spanish – Arabic – Korean – Chinese – Russian – Chinese – Korean – Arabic – Spanish – English

Your victory is not your victory. Your victory is not your victory. They are celebrating in the capital, but our country does not celebrate this family.

These moments are changing. For now it’s yours

It belongs to everyone today and to all who see the United States as a whole.

Today is your vacation.

This is your country, the United States.

In fact, it is very important that the government control people instead of political parties.

On January 20, 2017, people will be remembered again as the ruler of this country.

Forgotten men and women will not forget our country.

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

English – Filipino – Ukrainian – Macedonian – French – Arabic – French – Macedonian – Ukrainian – Filipino – English

Think of the sky

It’s easy if you try

There is no hell under us

Just above us is paradise

Think of all the people living today

Think of a nation

Not hard to do

Do not kill or die

No religion

Imagine all those who live in peace, you

You can say that I dream

But I’m not alone

I hope you join us once

The world will be just one

Hey Jude

Hey Jude, don’t make it bad

Take a sad song and make it better

Remember to let her into your heart

Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don’t be afraid

You were made to go out and get her

The minute you let her under your skin

Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain

Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders

For well you know that it’s a fool who plays it cool

By making his world a little colder

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah

English – Romanian – Welsh – Basque – Arabic – Hebrew – Arabic – Basque – Welsh – Romanian – English

Hey, Jude, you will not hurt

Take a sad song and do it better

Remember that you will leave it in your heart

So, start improving

Hey Yehuda, do not be afraid

You have to go and take it

When the skin is thrown down

Then start working better

When you’re sorry, you’re avoiding Jews

Do not take the world on your shoulders

Well, you know you crazy

Make the world cool and nothing

The Kennedy Inaugural

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility—I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it—and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.

English – Polish – Somali – Portuguese – Latvian – Swedish – Latvian – Portuguese – Somali – Polish – English

Some generations play a key role in world history not give to freedom with the greatest risk. I am not ashamed of administration – they welcome them. I do not think we would change any of the others Generation, faith and respect for this problem makes us illumine You and all the winners and the beauty of fire can shine brightly in the world.

So people in the garden: do not ask what your country can do for you, ask how you can do your country

Smells Like Teenspirit

Load up on guns, bring your friends
It’s fun to lose and to pretend
She’s over-bored and self-assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

Hello, hello, hello, how low

With the lights out, it’s less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
Yeah, hey

English – Norwegian – Armenian – Indonesian – Dutch – Latin  – Dutch – Indonesian – Armenian – Norwegian – English

Upload weapons, bring your friends

The country ignores the losses

He is dull and confident

Unfortunately, I know dirty words

Hey Hey!

That light means less risk

We are here for fun

I feel stupid and contagious

We are here for fun

A mulatto, and Albina, an umbrella, my desire

In this way, a long life

The Wasteland Part 2

If you don’t like it you can get on with it, I said.

Others can pick and choose if you can’t.

But if Albert makes off, it won’t be for lack of telling.

You ought to be ashamed, I said, to look so antique.

(And her only thirty-one.)

I can’t help it, she said, pulling a long face,

It’s them pills I took, to bring it off, she said.

(She’s had five already, and nearly died of young George.)

The chemist said it would be all right, but I’ve never been the same.

You are a proper fool, I said.

Well, if Albert won’t leave you alone, there it is, I said,

What you get married for if you don’t want children?

Well, that Sunday Albert was home, they had a hot gammon,

And they asked me in to dinner, to get the beauty of it hot—

If you do not like it, you can keep it, I said.

Others can choose whether they can.

But if Albert refused to do it, it would not be because of the lack of language.

You must disturb him, I said that he looks very old.

She said: “I can not run away and leave for a long time

“These are pills I would like to play,” he said.

(George has already been killed for five years).

The chemist said it would be fine, but I was never that way.

I’m a real fool, I said.

Well, if Alberto did not leave you alone, I said

What is a house if you do not want children?

You’ve chosen your time

Well, this week Albert was home, had a warm flight,

They asked me to eat

You’ve chosen your time

Mr. Death

If I’ve killed one man, I’ve killed two——

The vampire who said he was you

And drank my blood for a year,

Seven years, if you want to know.

Daddy, you can lie back now.

There’s a stake in your fat black heart

And the villagers never liked you.

They are dancing and stamping on you.

They always knew it was you.

Daddy, daddy, you bastard, I’m through.

English – Bulgarian – Indonesian – Polish – Afrikaans – German – Afrikaans – Polish – Indonesian – Bulgarian – English

If I kill a man, I’ll kill two –

Vampire told you

And I drink my blood for one year,

Seven years if you want to know.

Dad, you can sleep now.

There is a role in the black and dark heart

And people never love you.

They dance and give you a seal.

You always know it’s you.

Dad, I’m finally done.

The Road not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

English – Azerbaijani – Punjabi – Vietnamese – Spanish – Norwegian – Spanish – Vietnamese – Punjabi – Azerbaijani – English

Two trees are separated from the golden tree

Sorry, but I can not travel

As a tourist I have been standing for a long time

They move away from me

Bowed to the rain.

Then there is another point

Maybe a better comment,

Grass and I want to use;

Even if it’s here

The Wasteland Part 1

April is the cruellest month, breeding

Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing

Memory and desire, stirring

Dull roots with spring rain.

Winter kept us warm, covering

Earth in forgetful snow, feeding

A little life with dried tubers.

Summer surprised us, coming over the Starnbergersee

With a shower of rain; we stopped in the colonnade,

And went on in sunlight, into the Hofgarten,

And drank coffee, and talked for an hour.

English – Bosnian – Lithuanian – Arabic – Catalan – Arabic – Lithuanian – Bosnian – English

April is the month of reproduction

Mix the dead oil

Memory, craving and mixing

Deep roots with spring motifs.

Winter is warm and covered

Dishes for party entertainment

Low level of life with dry rubber.

Year was surprised by Starnberger

With the things we stopped in the column

The sun continued at Hofgarten

Eat coffee and talk for an hour.

Like a Virgin

I made it through the wilderness

Somehow I made it through

Didn’t know how lost I was

Until I found you

I was beat

I’d been had, I was sad and blue

But you made me feel

Yeah, you made me feel

Shiny and new

Hoo, Like a virgin

Touched for the very first time

Like a virgin

When your heart beats

Next to mine

English – Polish – Japanese – Greek – Welsh – French – Welsh – Greek – Japanese – Polish – English

I wore the desert

You’re welcome

I did not know how it happened

Until I find you

It was out of date

I was sad, I was blue.

But I felt better

Yes, I feel better

Excellent new

Yes, as a virgin

Originally it was put aside

As a girl

When your heart beats

On my side

Freezin’ rests his head on a pillow made of concrete again ooh yeah

Oh feelin’ maybe he’ll see a little betters any days ooh yeah

Oh hand out faces that he sees come again ain’t that familiar

Oh dark grin he can’t help when he’s happy he looks insane

Even flow

Thoughts arrive like butterflies

Oh, he don’t know, so he chases them away

Someday yet he’ll begin his life again

Oh whispering hands, gently lead him away

Him away, him away

English – Chinese – Bosnian – Somali – Norwegian – Kurdish – Norwegian – Somali – Bosnian – Chinese – English

Again, again

Oh, think “he can see him working every day

Yes, someone later discovered

Yes, I cannot help when he likes it

Travel clothes

Imagine the error

Oh, he didn’t know he took it

But one day they will live their lives

Yes, I did not see

He left and left

The Star Spangled Banner

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,

What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,

Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight

O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?

And the rocket’s red glare, the bomb bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,

O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

English – Dutch – Zulu – Albanian – Czech – Russian – Greek – Russian – Czech – Albanian – Zulu – Dutch – English

You say, see, morning,

How proud are we when we are at sunset,

The keys and the stars are on fire

Are these basics so painful?

And the light of the racket, the bomb exploded in the air,

Make sure our flag is present at night,

He says the asteroid flag is changing

Is a free country a proud city?

Billie Jean

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don’t mind, but what do you mean, I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one, who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do ’cause the lie becomes the truth

Billie Jean is not my lover
She’s just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

English – Croatian – Portuguese – Hungarian – Russian – Japanese – Russian – Hungarian – Portuguese – Croatian – English

It’s more like a pretty girl like a movie scene.

Did I say I do not care what that means?

Who will dance on the floor in a circle

He said he danced in his palm.

She said she was called Billy Jin

So he goes to both heads when he is dreaming

Who will dance on the floor in a circle

People always told me to take care of what they did to you.

Do not stop the hearts of the young

And my mother always said I wanted someone who loved me.

See what you are doing. Because the lie is true

Billie Jean is not my friend.

She is the only girl who insists on me.

But the boy is not my son.

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

English – German – Arabic – Punjabi – Vietnamese – Italian – Vietnamese – Punjabi – Arabic – German – English

Do not go to Earth tonight,

You have to burn the old time.

The anger, the anger of easy death

Although the wise people in the end know it’s dark,

Because his words do not deliver electricity

Do not slow down this beautiful night

A good man screams death after the last wave

Your weaknesses danced in pure blue water,

The anger, the anger of easy death
